I want your love, I need your grace

Consider Psalm 26.

Whether I'm crawling out of the void of sin or scrambling up the cliff of despair, I need Your grace. Every firm patch of ground, every foothold is only found by Your grace. With every step, every push, every pull, I call for Your grace. And You answer; You answer in love, proving again and again Your perfect faithfulness. Day by day, I call, You answer, and I find another step. By Your faithfulness I learn Your love. Even when I am steeped in filth and darkness, You are ever ready to show me the height of Your love. All I can do is return in kind and love You back with my imperfect love. Oh what a delight it is to taste Your love.

Now a thought: once on Your path, I so easily slip into complacency, forget that I still need Your grace. Just as it is only by Your grace that I come to You, it is only by Your grace that I stay near You. What would my days look like if every day I called out to You with that overwhelming sense of Need? What would I see through Your eyes?

Dear Father, I need Your grace to live today. I love you Lord.

Something new

Sometimes I just can't find the meter, the rhyme is too well hidden, but the Lord is still leaning on my heart. There is always something to say about Him, to write of His glory, His blessings, His grace. And so this place is set aside for that purpose, to write of God's wonder when my previous blog just won't do.
